Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look at this Weigh Safe built-in scale hitch with two stainless steel balls for your 2.5 inch trailer hitch receiver. Now, this ball mount's gonna be a great choice if you're looking for a highly durable premium, easy to use hitch. This does feature a built-in scale that's gonna let you easily measure your tongue weight, ensuring better towing, safety, and performance. And as I mentioned, this is going to slide into your 2.5 inch trailer hitch receiver, and it's gonna give you two stainless steel balls. You're gonna get 2 5/16 inch and a two inch.

So you're gonna be able to tow different types of trailers. And then when you have the shank in this orientation, you're gonna get a drop of 10 inches. And when you flip this over, you're gonna get a maximum rise of 11 inches, so with an incremental adjustment of one inch. So this is gonna be very versatile for various towing setups, giving you that adjustability that you need so you can tow trailers of different heights with the same vehicle. With the 10, I'm sorry, with the 2 5/16 inch hitch ball, you're gonna get a gross towing weight of 18,500 pounds.

With the two-inch ball, it's gonna be 10,000 pounds and this unit has a maximum tongue weight of 2,200 pounds. So as I mentioned, this does feature a tongue weight scale that's built into the ball mount platform that's gonna help you balance your trailer for safer towing. This scale is going to let you know if your load needs to be adjusted before you tow. It's a very simple operation. This will automatically provide a measurement for you every time you couple your trailer to the ball.

So this is going to be efficient, it's gonna be hassle-free. You're not gonna have to worry about breaking out your bathroom scale to check the tongue weight on your trailer or you don't have to go to commercial scales. This also features a dual pin slider lock that's gonna make adjusting the height very simple. Lemme give you a brief demonstration of that. I'm gonna remove our cover here, insert one of the keys here and give it a turn.

That's gonna allow me to remove this dual pin slider lock. While I have it out, I wanted to show you that the pins are aluminium, the housing's aluminium, it's very durable. And then our lock is plated steel. So this is going to do a great job of keeping your ball platform secured to the shank and it's gonna hold up really well against corrosion. So you're gonna be able to easily adjust the height of the ball platform, basically wherever you need it along this shank. And then I also wanted to show you that you can stow this. I'm just gonna flip this backwards here. And so if you're not gonna be towing, you don't want that ball platform sticking out to where you're going to slam your shins into it when you're walking behind your truck, this can be stowed just like this underneath the hitch, underneath the shank, and you'll just replace the dual pin slider lock. So that's a great feature that is included. While I have the ball platform disconnected, let me show you how easy it is to swap out the ball. So I'm currently on my 2 5/16 inch ball. Typically, you can just tip this over and that retainer pin will slide out. But if you notice, we do have a ring here. So if for whatever reason this is a little bit difficult to get out, you can just stick your finger in that ring and pull it out and you'll be good to go. So I'm just gonna take out the 2 5/16 inch ball, gonna replace it with a two-inch ball. You wanna make sure the holes line up just like that and then you'll just replace the pin, you'll stick that pin all the way in, and then that ring will sit in that cavity. And then you can just replace the ball platform on the shank just like that. Lemme go ahead and replace my dual pin slider lock, just like that. And so, as I hope you can see, this is going to be very easy to adjust, very easy to get that ball size that you need. You're not gonna be behind your truck, struggling to get the height that you're looking for, the adjustment that you need. It's all gonna be very simple. Now, this hitch is constructed of aircraft-grade aluminium. It's gonna give you superior strength and durability. This is a premium hitch and this finish is a premium finish. It's a cerakote finish, it's a ceramic coating. It's going to give you an extra layer of corrosion resistance, scratch protection, and durability. So not only does this finish make this hitch look great on the back of your truck, but if you tow in harsh environments such as salty winter roads or extreme weather conditions, this durable finish is gonna do a great job of protecting the hitch, keeping it looking great, and working properly for many years to come. This does include a locking hitch pin, which I'm glad to see. I think I mentioned that you are gonna get four keys and everything is key to like, so one key is going to be able to operate your dual pin slider lock and your hitch pin lock. So you're not gonna be having to worry about different sets of keys. One key's gonna operate everything. Then you'll basically have three backups. So what you have here with this investment that you're making is built-in theft deterrent. The dual pin slider lock's gonna secure the ball platform to your shank. And then the hitch pin lock is going to secure everything to the back of your truck on your 2.5 inch trailer hitch receiver. Let's talk measurements. Measuring from the center of our hitch ball to the center of our first hitch pin hole, about 8.5 inches. From the center of the second hitch pin hole, about 9 5/8 inches. And then from the center of the second hitch pin hole to the end of the shank, about 1 7/8 inches. So this is going to be great if you demand reliability, safety, and durability from your towing equipment, whether you're a seasoned RV owner or simply someone who tows quite a bit.
